Hello lovely readers,

Here's to you having a fabulous day. No doubt, if you have been following my blog for a while you would have seen dozens of photos of my large cross stitch project from last year, The Four Seasons by Marjolein Bastin.  I had an inspired idea to put a montage together of these photos so it's progress from start to finish can be seen. I hope you enjoy watching it!!!

You can watch this montage by clicking on the link below:

I have a busy few days away (daughter is dancing and we are having family time with hubby too) so will be absent from blogging until next week.  Have a great week and hope you get lots of stitching done...

It's all about Marjolein Bastin for my Theme-alicious update...

Thank you so much to all that drop by especially those that say "hi". I am having trouble with my email at present so cannot reply to you in person. Fingers crossed this problem is fixed soon. I get a glow from your comments.

Theme-alicious' Amazon April is over but not out as I haven't posted my update yet. My Amazon BAP (and I could only have one as I had to take my stitching on holidays with me) was none other than my Marjolein Bastin design.

I felt this squirrel part of the sampler was sooooo slow. Was it because I was stitching in bad light in caravan parks or was I too chilaxed from being on holidays? Any hoo I am plodding on with it and only have the scrubbing brush the squirrel is sitting on to finish.

When I photographed the whole sampler today I shocked myself at how little is left. The end is in sight.  How long do you think? Please keep in mind the next month is crazy with dancing costumes. Three months? Oooh, I so hope so. What will I start on then?  Shores of HRH?

Here are some links to others in Blogland stitching Marjolein Bastin designs:
* Elisabeth is a kindred soul and is stitching the English Garden sampler like me! Check out her gorgeous pics.
* The Shabby Stitcher has stitched MB's Summer Fruits. I have photo envy on this blog!
* PocandPoch has stitched the cutest MB bunny ever. I haven't seen that design before.

The next theme is May Memories. I am thinking that I need to get back to my HAED (which is a distant March memory) so that will be the goal and aim to get the first half page done.

Thank you for tossing Autumn leaves in my garden...

threadgarden WIPocalypse: the first update

I have just returned from a family beach holiday staying in shack (an Aussie term for a holiday house) at a seaside village called Orford in Tasmania. The shack was straight out of an Enid Blyton novel - well-loved furniture, wooden kitchen cupboards, handmade quilts and linoleum floors.  It's smell transported me back to Grandma's home long gone now. It demanded RELAXATION so I didn't resist. Don't you just love Summer holidays?

Stitching was part of my holiday plan so I am delighted to report that I have "WIPocalypsed" my Marjolein Bastin English Garden sampler during the break away. I only have about 1/4 left.  Phew!Check out this WIPocalypse link here if you don't know what I am talking about.  This SAL has become HUGE! I am excited to be taking part in it.

Well I have another project to add to my WIPocalypse list. I received a surprise in the post all the way from the UK to little old Tasmania. It is the Christmas House pattern by Bucilla. Jo from Serendipitous Stitching so generously sent me the pattern when I admired a photo of her completed project on her Advent Calendar post.  I have to start on it soon as it seems it will become a travelling pattern and move from me to Kaye (*waving madly*).

Thanks for stopping by my garden...
