L is for Leaves by Prairie Schooler 32ct linen stitched 2 over 2 |
Part of my great news, is that one of the friends and I will start stitching this alphabet as a whole on a large piece of fabric. I am part of the SAL, Prairie Schooler ABC Stitching Bee which is inspiring and full of lots of helpful hints. There are lots of decisions to make about letter configuration and fabric count. We both know this is a big undertaking but we are in no rush and will enjoy the process and stitching time together.
Nothing is better than starting a new cross stitch especially if you have finished one! This week the lovely Justine and I started our very own SAL called Pirate Wednesday. We both have little boys and have decided to stitch them The Bothy Threads Cut Thru' Pirate Ship. Ahoy there me hearties!

Great finish Justine and of course I love your new pirate start. Can we still post this to the cut thru SAL page on our blogs? We would love for you to post your progress on the Facebook page also.

L is for Leaves is just lovely. Looking forward to seeing it framed.
Congrats on your finish! Love Prairie Schooler designs, and this one looks great with those fall colors. Love your pirate, too. Looking forward to watching your pirate ship come to life.
great finish, lovely new start
Lovely finish :)
Ahhh, now that's a wonderful finish. I'm a huge Prairie Schooler fan and have stitched some of their designs. What a project you have in mind! Good luck with the whole alphabet. It will be awesome to see your progress on your blog.
A great finish, well done!
Wow Jan I am so impressed with your L is for Leaves. Can't wait to see how big your fabric is for the whole alphabet! Your pirate is great. I am already being pestered for a finish on it!

Beautiful finish! I can't wait to see your big ABC project start :D
Your 'L' looks wonderful, how lovely to be stitching them all on one piece of fabric and with a stitching friend to encourage each other along.
I love watching the cut throu's grow, I saw Justine's new start on her blog too. Another fun project you'll be working on.
I love your finish - I have some of those PS alphabets somewhere in my Stash Empire. Have fun with the Cut Thru Pirate SAL.
Sweet finish! And what a fun, colorful pirate!
I have just had the following conversation with my daughter.
Rachael "Now that I could do."
Me "It's part of a cut thru pirate ship."
Rachael "Oh, I thought it was a morris dancer."
Me - withering look!
Jan - just let me know what punishment you would like me to administer and it will be done!
We found this photo which would tend to bear out her theory apparently! http://swns.com/news/morris-dancer-jigs-120-miles-from-london-to-norwich-16216/
Personally I think he is a really cute pirate and can't wait to see more of them :)
