Day 6 DUCJC2015

I started the M block of the Prairie Schooler alphabet. This block is called M is for Mermaid. Wow is this waterbird pretty. I have run out of the DMC colour 924 so hope to put the wings and body on it soon. No mermaid in sight yet but she won't be too far off.

Happy stitching

I have just seen what you have stitched during the last three days. Great projects! I always love seein g your progress on the Prairie Schooler alphabet. I have stitcged several letters before but as individual designs and as gifts. Maybe one day I'll stitch the whole alphabet for me.

Hi Jan
I have been watching you on flosstube and I love the treatment of this Prairie Schooler design. Many years ago I did the M is for Mermaid for my daughter whose name coincidentally is Melanie - she 'inherited' my love of mermaids. I thought it fortuitous that I found a alphabet where the M was a mermaid - so with a few little changes I stitched M is for Melanie. I loved the bird in this design and have always thought I would stitch him on something else...
